Graduate Program Information

Graduate Admissions

Admission to the Recovery of Function graduate training program is competitive. Students admitted to the program typically have GRE (Verbal + Quantitative) scores of 1200 or above, and GPAs of 3.50 or higher. However, other factors such as research experience and the socioeconomic status of your family of origin will be considered when evaluating your application. The Recovery of Function program strongly encourages applications from women and under-represented minority groups. The program does not accept applications from individuals seeking a terminal master's degree.

Admission Procedures

Applications for admission must be received by January 5. Admission of new students is made only for the Fall Semester each year. Review of student application files begins within days after the deadline, and notification of acceptance is made in March. All students are encouraged to contact individual Recovery of Function faculty and must apply for admissions to the Ph.D. program of their respective academic department:

Diversity

Applicants from under-represented groups (e.g., Latino, African American, Native American) should indicate their interest in applying for funding through the Texas Consortium in Behavior Neuroscience when applying to the Recovery of Function training program.

Applicants with master's degrees from other schools: There is no terminal master's degree in Recovery of Function at Texas A&M. Only students intending to complete a doctoral program should apply. We welcome applications from students who have completed a master's degree at another institution.
